This is not the type of place where you need to clock in and out. We know the importance of work-life balance and value it as much as you do. A large percentage of our corporate employees work remotely, and our store employees enjoy flexible schedules. We’re on a mission to provide amazing products and experiences that bring happiness to people, so it’s only natural we start with our own.
We will probably never feel like we're doing enough, but we're committed to doing our best. We are proud to say that Kindthread is a purpose-driven organization doing its part to transform the apparel industry and improve the lives of the humans behind the uniforms. In July 2022, we started a worldwide partnership with ALL IN: WellBeing First for Healthcare. This partnership supports a call to action by #FirstRespondersFirst and the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes' Foundation to prioritize the well-being of healthcare workers and create sustainable change. As part of our commitment, we pledged to contribute up to $250,000 in the first year of this partnership to develop real-life solutions and raise awareness about mental health support resources. Through our social impact platform called Acts of Kindthread, we collaborate with non-profit organizations to support advocacy efforts that aim to address the increasing rates of burnout, turnover, and post-traumatic stress among healthcare professionals. Our first supported event was the NurseHack4Health Pitch-a-thon, empowering nurse-led teams to create solutions that address well-being and workplace challenges. Acts of Kindthread also provides financial and in-kind resources to grassroots advocacy groups and leading nonprofits in support of healthcare professionals.
To us, it's a no-brainer: our teams should be a reflection of the communities we serve. For this reason and many more, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are treated as priorities. We conduct annual training and staff monitoring to ensure we're creating a workplace where people feel welcome and free to be themselves. We value what makes us different as much as what we have in common, so we hire, train, promote, and compensate our team members without any discrimination.
Our store employees usually rock scrubs and sneakers. Other than that, you can wear what makes you feel good. No need for a suit and tie... unless that’s what you want! And of course, when you're working from home, you can be as comfortable as you want, so long as it is appropriate for your next video call.
