The Demand Planner is essential to our forecasting efforts for assigned apparel brands. This role combines analytical expertise with collaboration across teams to ensure our supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently. By leveraging data and insights, the Demand Planner will help drive strategic decisions that impact our business outcomes. 

 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and develop demand plans for assigned apparel brands based on forecast models and market trends. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and refine demand forecasts. 
  • Create advanced models to test hypotheses and evaluate the impact of various business scenarios. 
  • Synthesize historical data and current trends to generate accurate forecasts aligned with organizational goals. 
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in forecasting processes and systems. 
  • Manage and maintain purchase orders with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Develop contingency plans to balance inventory needs and ensure optimal stock levels. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Relevant experience in supply chain management or demand planning. 
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills. 
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, adaptable mindset. 
  • Analytical and data-driven, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Preferred experience in the apparel or healthcare industry. 

 

Compensation: 

$55,000-$60,000. Kindthread encourages applications from candidates at all levels, with pay based on experience.
